It's cute and has a good amount of stretch. I'm not sure the plastic lining will last very long but we will see. The lining is pink and it is visible through the black fabric which is cute if you like pink. As for keeping my hair dry I'm not sure, I have used it and the hair on the nap of my neck was wet I didn't put my head under the shower so this was just from shower hitting my lower neck area. The wet area of hair could be more about fit because it is not tight on my head and I have bob length hair so not alot to keep it on and in place. I do like it but feel it is probably more designed for keeping your hair out of the spa than a shower cap.
