Hair Trends to Watch Out For in 2018

The new year has well and truly begun and with it comes an array of hair trends that will be embraced in 2018. From platinum blonde to the much loved lob, here are the trends you won’t want to ignore this year.

Platinum Blonde

This hue has been making the rounds for some time however, it’s one even more on the rise in 2018. Think Kim Kardashian and the newly platinum, Katie Perry. This is a versatile colour that will suit most people but it does include a whole lotta maintenance.

To get the most out of your colour, we recommend choosing a shampoo and conditioner specially formulated for blondes. We’ve written a whole blog on that very topic that you can read here.

The Lob

The lob (aka Long Bob) started making headway in 2016 and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere this year. Lob’s are an excellent style for just about anyone from long to round face shapes. Styled straight, wavy or in-between, they are versatile, chic and oh so glam.

Texturising spray is a must for a wavy, carefree lob. We recommend the I Want Body Texture Spray to finish off your do. This lightweight finishing hairspray combines powder and liquid to create a dry bouncy finish.

Bardot Bangs

It seems each and every year the question is “to get bangs or not to get bangs”. In 2018, it’s a resounding YES. Brigitte Bardot is the muse for this season's hottest cut with celebs like Alexandra Chung bringing the look into now. Go for a long fringe that frames the face and gets longer closer to the face to keep it bang on trend.

Rose Gold

In 2016, we saw bright hues making their way into the mainstream. While jewel colours such as turquoise and pastels are on the way out, rose gold is here to stay. Perfect for blondes or brunettes who want to add a bit of spunk to their current look. We recommend a colour locking conditioner such as Evo Rich Salvation Care Conditioner to keep that hue oh so bright.
